News Update: Rugby Dementia Support’s normal activities are ‘closed for business’ due to the Coronavirus pandemic, forcing us to cancel all the activities our members attend each month.
NEW!! VIRTUAL ONLINE MEETINGS being held by us, so we can continue to support members old and new!
We explored how we could do this using online platforms, like Zoom so…… we continue holding Music sessions, run by Lisa, our Musician, now from her home, and joined by many of our members who are loving them. This week 22 members and their families joined the session.
If you would like to join this, please contact us. We will explore the nature of the session with you and the process of joining. Our contact details can be found on our website www.rugbydementiasupport.org.
Both a group for carers of people experiencing dementia and ‘Home Alone’, for people now living on their own after caring, are other virtual activities,
Ray supports members individually, using his expert knowledge following on from his experience as an information and advice and worker, able to help with benefit checks and form filling.
We are also replicating our monthly Pub Lunches with the support of Rugby Borough Football Club who have been delivering the occasional fish and chip lunch for us to our members as a treat!
My colleagues and I are keeping in touch with our members by phone or e-mail so they are continuing to receive our support on a one to one basis.
